Tour the town of Evergreen Colorado

Evergreen is a picturesque, small mountain community located just 15 miles West of Denver. Evergreen is a fun and active mountain community of approximately 40,000 people. The crown jewel of Evergreen is Evergreen Lake which is located in the center of town. It has a lake house which is the hub of many activities and events in the town. You can rent a boat or fish for trout in the warmer months. In the Winter you can ice skate, play ice hockey or ice fish. The lake house is also a popular place to host a wedding or reception.

Evergreen is a great town to retire or raise a family. Life travels at a little slower pace here and the residents enjoy being immersed in nature. There is an endless selection of outdoor activities at your fingertips ranging from hiking, mountain bike riding, to outdoor picnics at one of the many local open space parks. Evergreen sits at the base of Mount Evans which offers amazing views of this snow capped 14,000 ft mountain. Mount Evans is also the highest paved road in North America and is only a 30-minute drive from Evergreen.

If you enjoy wildlife, living in Evergreen is like living in a zoo. Wildlife is an integral part of what makes Evergreen such a sensational place to live. We have a herd of over 1000 elk that roam the Evergreen area. Deer are seen on a daily basis. In the spring some of the female elk have their babies at Evergreen Lake and are an amazing spectacle to experience. We also have fox, bears, mountain lions, chipmunks, ducks, trout, bald eagles and an occasional moose. Humming birds are seen buzzing around town in the warmer months.
